We used aperture by photographing people in a line. the main purpose of aperture is to create a blur on anything you're not focused on. the smaller the number the blurrier the items not focused are. The bigger the number is, the more the camera focuses on and is able to capture more. In my first picture the person in front is the only one mainly focused, while the person in the back is blurry. In the second one, the first couple of people are focused while the person in the back is still somewhat blurry along with the building. The last picture you can see all four people clearly, while the building is still blurry.
The main goal for our first project was to capture aperture by creating depth. We chose 3 items to photograph outside and lined them up behind one another. The first picture was with a small number to blur out everything but what you're focusing on. The seconds picture was with a medium number to get two items into focus. The last number is the highest number and this captures more than the others.
